RANDY DESCRIBED ETERNITY - Built to Spill

Per comprendere a pieno tutte le tappe della musica alternative-indie una fermata obbligatoria è quella che porta all'universo dei Built to Spill. Il loro album migliore, “Perfect from now on” è uno dei capolavori degli anni Novanta. Capolavoro che diviene subito tangibile con la prima traccia dell'album, “Randy described eternity”. L'inizio lento viene subito spezzato da una stratificazione di chitarre che ci porta verso paesaggi cosmici, a gravità zero. La canzone sembra salire sempre di più, in un crescendo di synth e chitarre che danno un'atmosfera lunare. E, verso la conclusione, sembra quasi di fluttuare nell'universo. Sei minuti, una suite cosmica. Un'esperienza più che un ascolto. Da fare assolutamente.
